Problem
People know the haircut they want but not the words for it, so keyword search doesn't find the right stylist.

The challenge
A hairstyle is visual. Matching it needs similarity search between images, filtered by distance.

What I built
- Used Gemini to analyse the uploaded photo and create a vector embedding of the hairstyle.
- Stored embeddings of stylists' work in PostgreSQL with pgvector and ranked nearby matches by similarity.
- Built the Expo app, the FastAPI backend and a React admin dashboard.
- Added Google and Apple sign-in, RevenueCat subscriptions and OneSignal push.
